Her Story
Finding Her True Calling
Dr. Perry graduated from New Mexico State University with honors in 2005, earning a Bachelor of Science in Biology with minors in Chemistry and Biochemistry. In 2010, she earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston Dental Branch.
Her journey into biological dentistry began in 2017 when she attended an introductory course taught by Dr. Teresa Scott and Dr. Dawn Ewing. The experience was transformative—it spoke to her on a deep level and completely changed her perspective on dentistry.
A Transformation in Practice
After learning about the toxins patients and staff are exposed to in conventional dental offices, Dr. Perry realized the majority of what she had been taught was misguided. She found the missing piece in her career: looking at the root cause of dental issues rather than just treating symptoms. In 2019, she sold her existing practice in Richmond, TX and joined Holistic Dental Associates.
A self-proclaimed nerd with an insatiable desire to learn, Dr. Perry took on all of Biological Dentistry in just one year—a process that usually takes 6–8 years of concerted effort. She easily obtains over 100 hours of continuing education every year, despite only being required to do 15. In 2020 she became a Certified Biological Dentist with the IABDM, and in 2021 earned her Certificate of Accreditation from the IAOMT.
Beyond the Practice
When she is not working, Dr. Perry is spending time with her two children, Logan and Izabelle.
